History + Benefits:
This smoothie is excellent to boost Iron levels for everyone needing that kick. Beets pack a nutritional punch – they’re filled with fibre, folate, vitamin C, and iron. Beets also contain nitrates, a compound the body converts into nitric oxide, which helps to relax and dilate your blood vessels and can help improve athletic performance. I added in strawberries for natural sweetness and Vitamin C which helps iron absorption, hemp seeds for plant-based protein, nettle tea for blood building and spoonful of black molasses to add more iron and minerals.
